This is a traditional Thai House Style Spirit House handmade from teak wood, these spirit houses are believed to be dwelling places for the spirits of the deceased, and offerings are placed before them each morning by devout Buddhists, Hindus, and Animists. Also, they are often decorated with small wood or ceramic figure of people, who represent the spirits of the deceased and also elephant figures which are believed to protect the dwelling from evil spirits.
