Juvéderm is a collection of filler injections applied in the facial area which remove delicately and naturally the signs of aging or enhance the gifts given by the nature. The filler injections contain hyaluronic acid gel which increases hydration of the skin and fills and smooths the skin from inside out. The Juvéderm collection contains specially developed products for every age and area of the face.
Juvéderm Volbella is suitable for smoothing out various wrinkles in the facial area:
- frown lines (between the eyebrows) and horizontal forehead lines;
- crow’s feet around the eyes;
- sunken eyes;
- wrinkles surrounding the nose and mouth;
- wrinkles around the chin.
Juvéderm Ultra 2, Juvéderm Ultra 3 and Juvéderm Ultra 4 are suitable for softening fine superficial and moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles.
Juvéderm Volift is used to reduce nasolabial lines and to add volume to the lips and eyebrow area.
Juvéderm Smile is used to add volume to the lips and to shape and give a clear contour to the lips.
Juvéderm Voluma is primarily used to add volume and to give the desired shape to cheeks, cheekbones, chin, chin contour and temples.
Prior to the procedure, make-up is removed and, if the patient so wishes, an anaesthetic is applied to the skin before proceeding with the injections. The injection procedure lasts for 20–40 minutes and the initial result will be visible right away. The filler injections do not usually disrupt the general rhythm of life and the patient may go to work right after the procedure. Some patients may experience slight swelling, redness or pain at the injection site which disappears in a couple of days. No face massage is allowed for 12 hours after the procedure. Using decorative cosmetics, swimming, intensive exercising and being out in very cold or hot weather or in the sun must be avoided for 2–3 days after the procedure.
The final result of the procedure will be visible within a week. The effect lasts for 6–12 (24) months, depending on the product used, the type of skin and the area treated.
